A 51-year-old man was killed yesterday afternoon, after being shot while driving along Rivulet Road in Couva.
According to a Guardian Media report, police have identified the victim as Ricardo Diaz, who was shot around 4:45PM, near the National Energy Corporation, west of the Brechin Castle traffic lights.
Investigators say the victim was found slumped in the driver’s seat, with gunshot wounds to the torso.
It has not yet been determined if Diaz was shot at close range after his vehicle was intercepted, or whether the gunfire came from one or more assailants in a moving vehicle.
