Former Finance Minister Colm Imbert has described this year’s Budget Statement as “miserably inadequate”.
During an Opposition media conference following today’s Budget presentation, Mr Imbert accused Government of presenting a misleading budget.
Mr Imbert also pointed out that that some pensioners will not benefit from the announced $250 increase in the senior citizens pension because of the existing cap on combined pension payments.
He also criticised the Minister for not addressing outstanding back pay owed to public servants, specifically mentioning workers represented by the PSA and NUGFW.
