The Agriculture Ministry has received veterinary equipment and supplies from the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization, as efforts continue to strengthen agricultural resilience locally.
Minister Ravi Ratiram recently met with FAO Representative ad interim, Dr Gillian Smith for the official handover.
Under the Strengthening Animal Health Systems Project, the equipment will improve the country’s ability to prevent, detect, and respond to animal diseases.
It will also enhance veterinary services, support healthier livestock, boost food production, and strengthen resilience across the agricultural sector.
