An inmate has pleaded guilty to charges arising from the seizure of contraband earlier this year.
On June 26th, several prohibited articles were found during a joint police-prison exercise, leading to charges against 11 inmates.
One of those charged was Kadeem Samuel, who appeared in court today and was sentenced to 18 months simple imprisonment.
Samuel was already on remand in connection with a murder.
Other matters arising out of the June 26th operation remain before the courts.
