Two boys, ages 14 and 15, are among six people held by police as part of a robbery investigation.
Between Thursday night and this morning, officers on patrol in the North Central Division conducted a roving road check as part of Operation S.U.M.M.E.R Shield.
Around 12:40am, they received a report that suspects in a recent robbery had been seen walking near Scott Street, St. Augustine.
They arrested two men and later went to another location in St Augustine where four more persons were detained.
The teens were among the suspects.
Meanwhile, during an Operation Resolute Shield exercise on Thursday night, officers went to a bushy area along Caroni North Bank Road in Caroni.
About 100 metres into some bushes, they found an unoccupied wooden structure – inside was a black plastic bag containing a homemade shotgun with a quantity of assorted ammunition.
