A suspended TTPS constable has been arrested in connection with the alleged kidnapping and sexual assault of a 20-year-old woman.
Police say the 39-year-old suspect is expected to be charged with kidnapping, grievous sexual assault and other offences, following advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The charges follow an incident on June 3rd, when the victim said she was allegedly forcibly removed from a vehicle by a man who identified himself as an officer, and sexually assaulted at an unknown location.
The suspect is due to appear before a High Court Master this week.
