3,200 lbs of marijuana have been seized by the US Coast Guard and the US Navy off the coast of Haiti.
According to the USCG, a suspected drug vessel was stopped by a Coast Guard Cutter Venturous law enforcement boarding team and a USS Billings helicopter crew, about eight miles off Mole, Saint-Nicolas.
On board they found the narcotics valued at approximately $3.8 million.
A suspected smuggler has since been transferred to Haitian authorities.
