A Freeport man was granted $120,000 bail by a Justice of the Peace, for a charge of Obtaining Goods by False Pretences.

Kimraj Nandlal is now expected to appear before a Master of the High Court this Friday.

On July 3rd 2025, a man allegedly obtained glass products and other items valued at $19,500 from a business owned by a Sangre Grande victim.

The suspect allegedly said payment would be made via online bank transfer and arranged for the goods to be collected.

The online payment was never received, and a post-dated cheque issued afterward returned as dishonoured.

Additional attempts by victim to recover the payment were unsuccessful, leading to a police investigation.
