The North West Regional Health Authority has announced the successful discharge of the smallest triplets ever delivered and cared for in Trinidad and Tobago.

Born at just 27 weeks, the triplets were warded at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the Port of Spain General Hospital.

They are now at home and continuing to receive pediatric follow-up care.

The NWRHA says β€œTheir survival and growth represent the highest standards of neonatal medicine, advanced respiratory and nutritional support, and the unwavering dedication of our nursing and medical staff.”

β€œThis announcement is not only about a medical first. It is a testament to what our team strives for each day: excellence, compassion, and honesty. We remain committed to supporting every family whether they leave with their baby in their arms, or with their baby in their hearts,” it adds.

Names and specific medical details for the triplets remain private at the request of their family.
