The National Junior Parang Competition 2025 is set for this weekend at the El Dorado East Secondary School.
Primary schools compete on Saturday, with secondary schools battling on Sunday for the national title.
Youth Officer of the National Parang Association of Trinidad and Tobago, Joseph Bertrand, said the event plays a huge role in preserving and promoting parang among the nation’s youth.
Bertrand, who competed in Junior Parang as primary and secondary level, said 10 parang icons will be honoured by the schools during the event on the weekend.
