Jamaica’s Science, Energy, Telecommunications and Transport Minister Daryl Vaz has dismissed claims by reggae star Buju Banton that hurricane relief supplies sent to the island were stolen at the port.
In a statement on X, Vaz said an immediate investigation found no evidence of missing or tampered goods.
He explained that the shipment arrived Tuesday and was cleared directly from the aircraft to the receiving truck, without being stored or moved offsite.
Vaz said the probe was conducted swiftly to ensure full transparency.
