Minister of Land and Legal Affairs, Saddam Hosein, distributed 50 State Grants, as part of the Governmentβs initiative to address long-standing delays in land regularisation.
During a ceremony in Chaguanas today, Mr Hosein said the issuance of a legal title now provides the recipients with full and indisputable ownership.
According to the Minister, a long-standing administrative backlog left many waiting for legal titles, despite fulfilling all requirements, including former land allocations linked to Caroni (1975) Limited.
He added that Government has now moved to streamline the system to reduce delays, fix inefficiencies and clear outstanding cases.
