The US has announced sanctions against seven family members of individuals, believed to have been involved in corrupt activities, linked to the Maduro regime.
Speaking at a media briefing today, State Secretary Marco Rubio said that Maduro and his family have been widely accused of drug trafficking.
The US State Department said the move follows previous designations of figures accused of facilitating corruption benefiting the Venezuelan government.
