President Christine Kangaloo has extended congratulations to newly-appointed Chief of Defence Staff Commander Don Polo.
Commander Polo paid a courtesy call on the President earlier today, his first visit since taking up the post last week.
Commander Polo took over from Air Vice Marshall Darryl Daniel, who left office on October 9th.
The CDS is responsible, to the Commander-in-Chief, for the command, management, discipline and effective employment of the Armed Forces (Trinidad and Tobago Regiment, Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard, Trinidad and Tobago Air Guard and Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force Reserves).
