A 27-year-old Gasparillo man was arrested after being wounded by police in Claxton Bay on Wednesday.
Around 11:20am, officers responded to reports of an alleged drug transaction involving armed suspects.
On arrival, three men attempted to flee, with one allegedly pointing a gun at the officers, who opened fire in accordance with their Use of Force Policy.
He was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital, while the second suspect was later arrested and the third remains on the run.
