Digicel will close the SportsMax and Loop News business units, in a deliberate move towards an integrated suite of ICT services within Digicel Business.
Loop News will cease to operate as a news provider with immediate effect, while SportsMax will broadcast for the last time on August 8th.
Digicel has advised that those impacted by the change have been informed and with the process managed in line with all local labour laws.
Liam Donnelly, Group Chief Business Officer, says the focus is now placed on where it can create the greatest value for customers and the communities it serves.
With the recent 100% acquisition of Symptai, Digicel Business will now offer an integrated suite of ICT services – including cyber, cloud, digital media, and compliance.
