Authorities in the Dominican Republic have seized the largest liquid cocaine shipment in the country’s history, during a major anti-drug operation in Boca Chica, Santo Domingo.
The Dominican Today reported that security forces uncovered more than 137 kilograms of liquid cocaine, concealed in bottles of juice and soft drinks, over a five-day joint operation.
Officials said the container, destined for Spain, had more than 46,000 beverage bottles.
A suspicious substance in one bottle led the entire cargo to be transferred for forensic testing, where 623 bottles tested positive for cocaine.
