A series of coordinated police exercises across Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday, October 23, 2025, resulted in the seizure of ammunition, narcotics, and the arrest of one man.
In the Maloney District, officers of the Maloney Police Station recovered 50 rounds of 9mm ammunition during a roving exercise.
Acting on information, officers searched an abandoned, fire-damaged apartment at Building 12, Apartment 3-4, North Maloney Gardens, where they discovered a white plastic bucket containing a crate of brass-coloured rounds.
The exercise was led by Acting Sergeant Forgenie and supervised by W/Cpl. Alexander under the direction of Senior Superintendent Maynard Wilson and Superintendent McKenzie.
Meanwhile, in the North Eastern Division, officers conducted a Drug Block and Roving Stop and Search Operation under Operation Steadfast 3 – Phase 5.
A 41-year-old man from Malick was arrested after officers found 110 grams of cannabis hidden beneath the gear shifter of his vehicle near Eastern Main Road, Barataria.
In Tobago, the Inter-Agency Task Force seized 1.5 kilograms of cannabis from an abandoned house in Roxborough after K-9 “Hulk” alerted officers during a search operation.
Investigations into all incidents are continuing.
