Acting Prime Minister Jearlean John says she has “deep concerns” about the condition of Defense Force facilities in Trinidad and Tobago.
Minister John toured sites in Chaguaramas, including the Coast Guard headquarters at Staubles Bay, with Defence Minister Wayne Sturge and UDeCOTT’s chairman Shankar Bidessie.
According to a T&T Express report, she said the inspection is part of efforts to review national infrastructure and strengthen border security.
While withholding sensitive details, Minister John confirmed a comprehensive report will be submitted to Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar.
