Repairs at the Caroni Water Treatment Plant were completed this morning, several hours later than planned.
WASA says the plant is now back at full capacity, however, it may take up to 24 hours for normal supply to return in some areas.
The production cutback had affected households in North, Central and South Trinidad.
In the meantime, truck-borne water continues to be delivered, with priority given to health facilities, schools and homes for the aged.
