A 42-year-old Valencia man was murdered last night.
Around 11pm, several loud explosions were heard at Plantation Road, Valencia.
Police were called and responding officers were directed to Dennis Avenue, where they found the body of Teejay Joyce along a dirt track approximately 300 feet from the roadway.
A yellow electrical cord was tied around his neck, there were several apparent chop wounds on his head and both hands, and a number of spent shell casings were found near his head.
Residents told investigators that prior to the loud explosions, scuffling noises were heard coming from inside Joyce’s home.
Blood was later observed along a track at the side of the house.
