On the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, is hosting ‘Calculate to Eradicate,’ a symposium on statistics for poverty reduction in the Caribbean.
The third annual event, happening this Friday, October 17th via Zoom, brings together SALISES, ECLAC, UNDP, the Caribbean Development Bank, and the World Bank to explore how data and community-driven approaches can help fight poverty across the region.
Key speakers include Senator Dr. Natalie Chaitan-Maharaj, Ms. Miosotis Rivas Peña of ECLAC, and Mr. Ugo Blanco of UNDP. The symposium promises innovative dialogue on using statistics to drive social change.
