The University of the West Indies’ Diplomatic Academy of the Caribbean has strengthened the conference diplomacy skills of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank.
Fifteen ECCB staff members recently completed a one-day virtual seminar titled “Conference Diplomacy: Fundamentals of the Role of Protocol and Liaison Officers.”
The training, led by retired diplomat and protocol consultant Gail Guy, focused on planning, protocol, and cross-cultural communication — all key to hosting high-level conferences.
ECCB Deputy Governor Dr. Valda Henry said the programme ensures consistent, excellent service as the bank prepares to host an upcoming international conference.
Participants received Certificates of Achievement, marking the third such collaboration between the UWI Diplomatic Academy and the ECCB since 2023.
