The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service has officially launched the South Western Division component of Operation Festive Shield, completing the national rollout of its Christmas and Carnival safety strategy.
Deputy Commissioner Suzette Martin said the South Western Division plays a strategic role, safeguarding critical borders, coastal points, and economic hubs. She emphasized that the operation is now fully active across the country, with all divisions aligned and every unit deployed.
Operational priorities include high-visibility patrols, intelligence-driven actions targeting firearms and organized crime, coastal security, road safety enforcement, and community reassurance patrols.
DCP Martin thanked officers for their dedication and urged continued focus and unity to ensure a safe holiday and Carnival season.
