Trinidad and Tobago’s men’s U17 team departed for Peru last night where they will play two international friendlies.
The young Soca Warriors will take on Peru U17s in matches on 28 and 30 January.
The TTFA in a media release said the fixtures form a key part of the team’s preparations for the Concacaf U17 men’s qualifiers, which will take place in February at the Hasely Crawford Stadium.
Trinidad and Tobago take on Mexico, Barbados, Saint Martin and Sint Maarten in matches from 3-12 February.
On Monday, Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) President Kieron Edwards said he was pleased with the “steady improvement” in the team’s preparations.
He said the international friendlies against Peru were “vital to accelerating development and measuring ourselves against strong opposition.”
