A tropical depression could form by the middle to later part of this week in the Atlantic Ocean.
At this time, prediction models do indicate this would not be a threat to Trinidad and Tobago or the Southern Caribbean islands.
According to the National Hurricane Centre, a tropical wave currently over the central tropical Atlantic is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms.
Environmental conditions appear conducive for development of this system in the next few days, with a tropical depression likely to form by the end of this week
