Trade Minister Kama Maharaj wants to see Trinidad and Tobago expand its cocoa industry as part of plans to diversify the economy.
Speaking to 103.1FM News at the World Cocoa and Chocolate Day Expo at UWI SPEC today, Mr Maharaj said he saw world-class standard businesses on display.
At one time, Trinidad and Tobago produced more than 40 million tonnes of cocoa and Mr Maharaj says a return to those levels is an important part of plans to diversify the economy.
