South African captain Wiaan Mulder secured the 5th highest individual test score in history today, during his team’s 2nd Test against Zimbabwe.

The 27-year-old had an impressive knock that ended on 367* as his side declared on 626/5 on Day 2.

He was just 33 runs shy of Brian Lara’s record of 400*.

Mulder now joins a list that sees him just behind Mahela Jayawardene, Matthew Hayden and Lara, who continues to hold the first and third highest individual test score.

Zimbabwe meanwhile were all out for 170 in their first innings and were 51/1 in their second innings at stumps, after being made to follow on.
