Romona Victor, a councilor from the Siparia Borough was reportedly found dead, along with her husband at their home on Coora Road earlier today.
Details about what happened have not yet been confirmed.
The Express posted that according to initial reports, the bodies of the 36 year old Councillor and her 45 year old husband were discovered by a relative shortly before 4pm.
The Siparia Mayor Doodnath Mayhroo, on his Facebook page tonight posted a photo of remembrance for Councilor.
It read “Today, we pause to honour the life and legacy of Councillor Romona Victor for Siparia East/ San Francique South, a truly dedicated and hardworking servant of the Siparia Borough Corporation. Her unwavering commitment to her community, her passion for service, and her tireless efforts to uplift others will forever be remembered. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, leadership, and service that continues to inspire us all.
The Corporation’s members of staff and colleagues extended their deepest condolences to the Victor family.
