The Ministry of Education has confirmed that all 279 schools that are being repaired and upgraded, will be ready for opening in the new school year, starting next week.

As of yesterday evening, 246 of these schools had their full scope of works successfully completed.

At this time, an additional 25 schools are in the final phases of upgrades, and the Ministry says this will not delay their reopening.

Over in Tobago, the THA said it has prioritised 26 of the 57 schools on the island for remedial work on a budget of $20 million, ahead of the term’s reopening.
