Scouts at President House

In a historic first, young Scouts camped overnight on the grounds of the President’s House.

The 24 participants took part in advanced training and the launch of a new Heritage Badge programme, aimed at reviving traditional Scouting skills and values, from March 31st to April 1st.

Led by Camp Chief Nikoli Mohammed and 18 Scout leaders, the boys worked toward earning the Campfire and Observer Badges, practicing outdoor skills, navigation, and field observation.

Officials say the initiative goes beyond camping, aiming to preserve national heritage while building leadership and resilience among youth.

The camp also forms part of anniversary activities for the President’s House, reflecting efforts to open the grounds to more youth-focused programmes.
