Over 292 million dollars in illegal drugs were seized from a concealed stash site in Palo Seco yesterday. It included:
- 1,177.4 kg of Colombian “creepy” marijuana, packaged in forty-one (41) crocus
bags, with an estimated street value of TT $129,216,117.80 - 117.14 kg of cocaine, packaged in five (5) crocus bags, with an estimated street
value of TT $163,283,788.80
The Ministry of Homeland Security says this represents a breakthrough in the campaign to dismantle a prominent drug trafficking network operating within the Southwestern Division.
This, in addition to seizures made on Tuesday, has removed over $314 million in illegal drugs from circulation here in Trinidad.
