Police are investigating the murder of a 67-year-old Barrackpore woman.
Merril Sabessar was last seen around 6:30am on Sunday, moving about and singing on the front porch of her home.
Later that day, calls to her cellphone went unanswered, and visiting relative found that her vehicle, a white Tiida, was missing.
Her house was also ransacked, with Ms Sabessar later found dead in a locked bedroom.
According to the TTPS, there was a small pool of blood beneath her right wrist.
