Northern Division police have arrested two persons, and seized a firearm, ammunition, and a quantity of marijuana.
Two men were arrested at East Gates Mall in Trincity after police found a Taurus pistol and seven round of ammunition in their vehicle.
Officers sized just over 2,000 grams of cannabis at Irvine Road, Petit Bourg.
Another operation uncovered 938 grams of the drug in a bushy area along One Way Drive in Tumpuna Road.
Eastern Division officers are also reporting the discovery and seizure of a homemade shotgun in the Gender Road, Fishing Pond area.
Charges are expected to be laid in connection with the find.
In the Siparia district, Police have recovered a quantity of ammunition.
A team of officers found nine rounds of 5.56 caliber ammunition in an abandoned shed near Logie Street, Siparia.
Meanwhile, police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the body of a man discovered at Paria Bay, Blanchisseuse, on October 6.
The unidentified man appears to be brown in complexion, with dreadlocks, and is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall.
