The Joint Select Committee on Social Services and Public Administration will meet tomorrow to address growing concerns about student underperformance in the nation’s schools.
The public hearing begins at 10:15 a.m. at the Parliamentary Complex in Port of Spain, where officials from the Ministry of Education will appear before the committee.
The inquiry focuses on how the state is responding to learning gaps in primary and secondary schools, the effectiveness of the Student Support Services Division, and the division’s role in tackling rising dropout rates.
The meeting is open to the public and will be broadcast live.
