Opposition says government copied its Vision 2020 Plan

The Opposition People’s National Movement hosted its weekly media conference, discussing several issues of national interest including the government’s newly-launched Revitalization Blueprint, its foreign policy, and noise pollution, among others.

On the Revitalization Blueprint project, former Finance Minister Colm Imbert dismissed the project as “pretty buildings” and accused the government of plagiarizing the PNM’s Vision 2020 Plan.

Opposition Senator Dr Amery Browne also condemned Senator Anil Roberts’ revelation that the family of Prime Minister of St Vincent and the Grenadines, Ralph Gonsalves, getting three separate HDC homes in Trinidad.

Meanwhile, Opposition Leader Penelope Beckles-Robinson also criticized Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar’s decision to ban fetes being staged at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.

The Opposition Leader said the issue may have nothing to do with noise pollution at all.
