A police officer has been arrested in connection with the alleged substitution of narcotics at the Chaguanas Police Station.
Last month, two planks of wood were found in place of a quantity of marijuana seized several days before.
In an update, the TTPS says the matter is under active investigation.
Police Commissioner Allister Guevaro also issued a warning to officers that anyone found engaged in wrongdoing will be removed and face the full brunt of the law.
