The NUGFW has accepted a 10% wage increase for daily-rated workers.
The Chief Personnel Officer confirmed that the agreement is part of a $2.6 billion compensation package, which covers the period 2014-2016 and 2017 to 2019.
The agreement was finalized during a meeting with union president Christopher Steel and CPO Dr Daryl Dindial on Tuesday.
The 10% increase is made up of 40% cash and 60% non-cash, with the $1 billion in cash to be disbursed over the next two financial years.
The new salaries are to be implemented no later than July 2026.
