Global cricket star Nicholas Pooran has officially received his Instruments of Appointment as a Sports Ambassador for the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

The documents were presented to Mr Pooran by Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, Sean Sobers.

“I’m very happy and excited for this journey. I am looking forward to working alongside the other Ambassadors, and continuing to represent our country, Trinidad and Tobago,” Pooran said in a recorded statement.

“This appointment recognizes Nicholas’ outstanding contributions to cricket and his unwavering commitment to representing the red, white, and black on the global stage,” a statement from the Ministry read.

“As a Sports Ambassador, Nicholas will play a pivotal role in promoting our nation’s sporting excellence and inspiring the next generation of athletes to reach for the stars,” the statement added.
