NAPA’s new Board will be led by Chairman Kenny Phillips and Deputy Chairman Jason Sylvester.
Both received their instruments of appointment today, alongside the rest of the Board.
The other members are: Trudy Jennai Thomas, Vornique Benjamin, Camille Nunez, Shirvani Ramkissoon, Clivaughn Gopie, Désirée Connor, Shawn Roberts and Trevon Jugmohan.
The new Board will serve for a three-year term and have been mandated to guide NAPA’s operations as a cultural institution.
According to the Ministry of Culture, they are expected to:
• Ensure good governance, transparency and accountability;
• Develop a clear roadmap for NAPA’s future;
• Strengthen revenue-generation strategies;
• Create opportunities for schools, community groups and emerging performers to access the facilities;
• Enhance strategic partnerships and stakeholder relations – locally, regionally and internationally.
