Five kilograms of cannabis was seized during a State of Emergency operation in the Central Division yesterday.
Between 9am and 2pm, officers conducted an extensive search of a bushy area in Felicity, where they found 10 packages containing the narcotics.
Meanwhile during an exercise dubbed Operation Steady Guard this morning, officers seized 28 rounds of ammunition, a pistol grip, a magazine holder, and 160 grams of cannabis.
This exercise was conducted between midnight and 4am targeting areas within the Besson Street Police Station District, including Duncan Street, as well as Oasis Gardens in Chaguanas.
A total of 22 houses were searched and 35 field interviews were conducted during this time.
