Moruga Police Recover Firearms and Ammunition During Operation Trident

Police officers in Moruga recovered two shotguns and a quantity of ammunition during an anti-crime exercise under Operation Trident on Sunday, November 9th.

Acting on intelligence, officers searched a bushy area in La Fortune, Moruga, and seized fifteen rounds of 16-gauge and twelve rounds of 12-gauge cartridges hidden in a blue plastic bag.

The firearms and ammunition were taken to the Moruga Police Station, and investigations are ongoing.

The TTPS urges the public to report any information on illegal firearms or criminal activity by contacting their nearest station, calling 555 or 999, or Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS.
