Government is again dismissing claims that the recent audio issue at Dimanche Gras was an attempt to silence an opposing voice.

The audio cut out during the performance by Helon Francis, whose calypso “Doh Forget” heavily criticized the current administration.

Despite TTT blaming the issue on a failure of the Dante system, this did not satisfy many, including Opposition MP Hans Des Vignes who spoke during a media conference today.

During the post-cabinet briefing this afternoon, Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Nicholas Morris, insisted that the Prime Minister and her Government were not afraid of criticism.

Mr Morris added that such issues were not new to TTT and responded to calls for an independent probe of the incident.
