Social Development Minister Vandana Mohit came under fire from Diego Martin North/East MP Colm Imbert, over allocations to homes for people with special needs.
This was raised dDuring the Standing Finance Committee hearing on today.
Mr Imbert contended that government cut funding to Lady Hochoy Centres for children with special needs, and the Trinidad and Tobago Association for the Hearing Impaired.
Ms Mohit explained the change reflected projects completed in 2025 and consequently the 2026 allocation was smaller.
However, Mr Imbert was not satisfied leading to a confrontation.
