Khadijah Ameen has extended Lenten greetings to the Christian community across Trinidad and Tobago, encouraging reflection and spiritual renewal during the sacred season.
The Minister of Rural Development and Local Government and Member of Parliament for St. Augustine described Lent as a time of sacrifice, repentance and deep spiritual reflection.
“It is a time when Christians are called to renew their commitment to Christ through prayer, self-denial, and acts of kindness,” she stated.
Ms Ameen said Lent serves as a reminder of redemption and forgiveness.
“This solemn season reminds us of the power of redemption and forgiveness, encouraging us to look inward, strengthen our faith and extend grace to others,” she said.
Ms Ameen wished a prayerful and meaningful Lenten season, with the hope that the season inspire reflection, resilience, and a renewed sense of purpose.
