Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has sent a message to the United States, calling for peace between the two nations amid ongoing US military activity in the Caribbean and Pacific.
Speaking at a pro-government rally in Caracas, Maduro said, “No more endless wars… long live peace,” and addressed US President Donald Trump directly, adding in English, “Yes, peace! Yes, peace!”
When asked about potential attacks, Maduro said Venezuelan authorities are focused on governance and peace.
Meanwhile, the US has launched a new military mission in the Caribbean, Operation South Spear, under the Southern Command, announced by US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.
