Touchstone Exploration has successfully drilled its Cascadura-5 development well on the Ortoire block in Trinidad.
The company says the well encountered roughly 620 feet of hydrocarbon-bearing sands in its primary target zone and has been cased for future production.
Touchstone holds an 80% stake in the well, with Heritage Petroleum owning the remaining 20%.
The company also plans to resume work on the nearby Cas-4 well, once funding allows.
Both wells are expected to be tied into the Cascadura natural gas facility.
