Police are yet to identify a body that washed ashore in Balandra yesterday.
Said to be that of a man, the body was in an advanced state of decomposition, with parts missing and visible burn marks.
It is the second body to wash ashore along Trinidad’s north-eastern coast in recent days.
On September 5th, another unidentified body was found on the shoreline at Cumana in Toco.
There continues to be speculation that the bodies may be from a boat targeted by the US Navy last week.
