Kidnapping victim Suraj Ramlakhan has been released.
The 57-year-old was abducted on March 14th 2026, with a ransom subsequently demanded by his captors.
The TTPS says an intelligence-led, multi-agency operation was conducted last night, focusing on an area in the vicinity of Roopsingh Road, Carapichaima.
Officers conducted systematic searches of a galvanized shed and adjoining vegetated areas, with support from the TTPS Air Support Unit, which conducted aerial reconnaissance using infrared drone capabilities.
Subsequently, officers of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit arrived on the scene with Mr. Ramlakhan.
After being released between 10:30pm and 11:30pm, he made his way to relatives along Roopsingh Road, who alerted the authorities.
