T&T’s Jereem “The Dream” Richards is through to the men’s 400-metre semi-final at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
Richards dominated heat one, clocking 44.64 seconds, to finish ahead of South Africa’s Lythe Pillay and Britain’s Charles Dobson.
Despite stiff early competition, Richards pulled away in the final stretch, securing his spot in Tuesday’s semis with the 17th fastest time overall.
He returns to the track on September 16 at 8:43 a.m. T&T time, aiming for a place in the final.
